25 Faces with Lauren Lowen

July 11th - 15th, 2024

25 Faces is a workshop that uses the face to promote creativity and new ways of working. Hosted by illustrator and educator Lauren Lowen, attendees will enjoy a series of exercises meant to push limits and help artists break through into a new chapter of techniques, concepts, and confidence. Whether it’s creating realistic portraits with ink and bamboo sticks or trying your hand at abstracting your characters with color and collage, Lauren will be with you every step of the way to reach new potential and break through mental barriers. As we build momentum to the last day, students will start to use these new methods in conjunction with each other (and even digitally if they choose!) to unlock new potential in their craft and/or portfolio.

25 Faces is NOT a traditional portraiture class. All styles and mediums are welcome. Students may bring digital tools (i.e. Procreate) but are encouraged to spend some time working with traditional mediums.

Fee: $1550
